Morris Law, LLC recently settled the liability and underinsured portion of a car accident client’s case for $115,000.00. The client retained Morris Law, LLC to handle his auto accident bodily injury claim that occurred on a city street in Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
Our client, a Surfside Beach resident, was turning left on Poplar Drive when the at-fault driver ran a stop sign and t-boned Morris Law, LLC’s client. The at-fault driver reported to the responding officer at the scene that he was adjusting the radio in his vehicle and did not see the stop sign. Morris Law, LLC, through its retained expert, was able to get a video of the accident from a nearby home.
Our client was injured and taken to the hospital with complaints of low back pain. Morris Law, LLC’s client was treated and released from the hospital with orthopaedic follow-up instructions. The client followed up with an orthopedist and was released from care without the need for surgery or invasive medical procedures.
Personal injury and auto accident attorney Jeffrey D. Morris demanded the full limits from both the liability insurance carrier and our client’s underinsured motorist carrier. After the underinsured insurance carrier offered $25,000.00, attorney Morris filed a lawsuit. After attorney Morris filed suit and before discovery began, the underinsurance carrier agreed to pay $90,000.00 to resolve the claim. With the liability limits and underinsured limits combined, attorney Jeffrey D. Morris completed the case for a total settlement of $115,000.00.
